You have purchased a complete template kit, along with individual template files in the same ZIP. This gives you a freedom to use the kit (it will convert the website to the template demo design, with demo content and styles) along with individual files (you can use these if you have an existing website and want to choose what templates you add on your own).
The Cora design comes with the following templates (no matter if you use the kit or individual files):
- Home
- About
- Services
- Blog
- Individual Post
- 404 Error
- Header
- Footer
- Video Pop-Up
I want to use the Elementor Kit
These instructions are best for someone who wants to import the full template into their website. This is best done on either (1) a brand new website or (2) a starter website that has a little content and wants to start fresh with a new design.
- Take the original file you downloaded after purchase and expand it into two different ZIP files: CoraKit.zip and Cora JSON Template Files.zip
- You want to work with the CoraKit.zip for the rest of these steps
- Log into your website, go to Elementor » Editor » Tools
- Go to the tab labeled Website Templates
- Click to Import where it says “Apply a Website Template”
- Navigate on your local computer to the folder where the CoraKit.zip file is located and drag/drop it inside the box
- The next screen gives you various options to choose exactly what you want to import. You can go through and choose to add/remove any content you want or go with the default (set by the KIT file) which includes:
- CONTENT
- All site pages, with all demo content and images
- All site post types (only the standard pages and posts is included in this kit)
- One menu is included in this kit, as shown in the demo
- Taxonomies are not included
- TEMPLATES
- Theme builder templates are included in this kit (header, footer, blog and post templates), no global widgets
- SETTINGS & CONFIGURATIONS
- Hello theme is included in this kit, you can choose to skip installing it
- Site settings are included (driving the colors, fonts and button styles shown in the demo)
- No Site Settings or experiments are included in this kit
- PLUGINS
- Only Elementor (Free) and PRO are included in this kit. If you already have these installed, the import will skip over this section. **Keep in mind, even though you are getting the PRO files to install – you will not have a active license unless you purchase it on your own or already have one. A license does not come with this kit.
- Click Import & Apply to install your new kit. Once you receive the confirmation screen, the kit is setup and ready to use. Enjoy!!
* Make sure to backup your site if you have any content/customization added. That way you can protect what you have worked on, in the event you choose to revert back or start over.
I want to use the individual template files
These instructions are best for someone who has an existing website (content or design), and you want to experiment with a new design by adding pages/elements at your own pace.
- Take the original file you downloaded after purchase and expand it into two different ZIP files: CoraKit.zip and Cora JSON Template Files.zip
- You want to work with the Cora JSON Template Files.zip for the rest of these steps.
- Log into your website, go to Elementor » Editor » Templates
- Click Import Templates, near the top/right corner of the screen
- Click browse and navigate to the folder where you saved the above mentioned Cora JSON Template Files.zip file. Choose it and then click OK.
- Click Import Now to bring all of the template files into your website.
- You can now choose which template you want to customize and use. They will all be saved here, but your site remains exactly as it was.
** Your existing content, templates and other customization in the site will not be affected by this import. You are just copying over the template files so you can use them individually, without affecting anything you currently have active on the site.
